My 3 Favorite Social Media Marketers I Subscribe To
As someone starting their own freelance marketing service, I have found inspiration through those who have been where I am now. It can get overwhelming sometimes; college and research can only take you so far, so it's helpful to find information wherever you can. Learning from other experienced professionals who have the career you desire will help you learn how to implement best standard practices while also avoiding beginner pitfalls. Below, I have listed my top three favorite social media marketers I watch routinely on YouTube and how they can help you succeed.
Latasha James
Latasha James is my favorite YouTuber to reference and watch when I want to learn more about social media marketing and how to run my own freelance service. She has years of experience and great advice for anyone looking to branch out into this field. Latasha also provides courses you can sign up for where you will experience a classroom-like setting and receive more in-depth advice and strategy sessions with her virtually. Her video content is extremely helpful and relatable. She provides content ranging from setting up your contracts and creating packages to filling out content calendars and behind-the-scenes videos. If you are looking for an all-around resource to help you with social media marketing, I highly recommend checking out her videos!

The Social Media CEO
The Social Media CEO is a great resource for those who enjoy shorter-style videos. Their content focuses on providing tips and tricks for new or prospective social media marketing managers. They also give great advice on how to develop strategic plans and measuring success for your clients. If you are looking for quick digestible content, subscribing to their channel would be highly beneficial. I also recommend following them on Instagram as they post reels regularly and are more frequently active.

The Social Shells
The Social Shells is another great channel to subscribe to if you are looking for more in-depth help on the “nitty-gritty” aspects of becoming a social media freelancer. The Social Shells provides video content on how to create contracts, build websites, and provides you with their favorite tools to use when editing content. They have a fairly large following, and the content feels natural and organic, whereas many others tend to feel scripted. Watch their videos to learn more about this field and the components needed to become a successful manager.
